Sapa discovery journey is full of arduous
The climb to conquer Mount Fansipan – the roof of Indochina is only for those who are brave because the climbing path is extremely dangerous.
Finding a breakthrough solution is always a problem that many local tourists in Sapa are especially interested in. Because in 2013, the number of tourists to Sa Pa was 720,000. This number increased slightly in 2014 with 826,000 arrivals. The main reason that even though tourists really want to visit Sapa, they are still hesitant because the difficulty of this adventure is not everyone can cope.
Sun World Fansipan Legend was born
In the Lao Cai tourism development plan for the period 2015-2020, Sapa is expected to developed in 5 fields: resort, learn about ethnic cultures, ecological, border and spirituality.
One of the milestones marking a new period of Sa Pa tourism began in 2016 when the Sun World Fansipan Legend resort came into operation. For the first time in many years, the number of tourists coming to Sa Pa reached to 1.2 million.
The first work of the resort is the modern 3-wire cable car system, connecting Sa Pa town with Fansipan sacred peak – a majestic landmark of Indochina, realizing the dream of conquering the sacred peak of the old man to baby.
The arduous journey of two days and two nights to conquer the top of Mount Fansipan has reduced to only 15 minutes walking which easily enjoy and experience the sights such as Muong Hoa valley, the clouds, glide on the deep blue Hoang Lien … The cable car system across the clouds to the Roof of Indochina has opened up a whole journey. Conquering the 3,143m- mountain top no longer requirs for the good health.
Opens a new horizon for Sapa tourism
Since then, a series of new products and works are added to the Sun World Fansipan Legend destination. From the magnificent spiritual complex on top of Fansipan for visitors who love spiritual tourism to add a place of retreat, meditation at the top of the sky, to the flagpole at the highest peak, it brings national pride when standing in the middle of the top Northwest high. The area of the cable car station with seasonal flower valleys such as roses, primrose flowers, triangles, in the near future, cherry apricot and Japanese cherry will attract visitors to Sa Pa.
Art shows such as “Dance on the clouds”, the race “Horses in the clouds” or many festivals bearing the Northwest tradition are regularly held …, Sun World Fansipan Legend has contributed significantly to awaken Sa Pa, which is different from 10 years ago when the whole town was still asleep in the mist.
Sapa is popular throughout the world
According to statistics, in recent years, the growth rate of tourists in Sa Pa has maintained about 23.4% a year. In 2020, although the tourism industry is heavily damaged by Covid-19, Sa Pa still welcomes 1.2 million visitors. Ms. Thu – a tourist shares that the birth of Sun World Fansipan Legend with many new natural and cultural experiences has contributed to making tourists fall in love with Sa Pa.
Sun World Fansipan Legend not only contributes to help Sa Pa tourism rank up on the Vietnamese tourist map with a high number of tourists every year, but Sun World Fansipan Legend is also honored internationally with prestigious awards, marking to the global map.
The image of the land in the mist continuously over the years has been known to the world through prestigious and impressive awards. For two consecutive years, Sun World Fansipan Legend received the award “The world’s leading cultural tourism destination” (2019, 2020) by World Travel Awards. In 2020, Sun World Fansipan Legend takes one step further with the title “Top tourist destination with attractive natural beauty in the world”.
An impressive tourist destination in Vietnam
According to Mr. Graham Cooke – Founder and Chairman of World Travel Awards, Sun World Fansipan Legend has brought the experience of conquering the highest peak of Indochina. As a result, Sun World Fansipan Legend won a convincing number of votes from the World Travel Awards, to achieve the above title.
Before that, the resort was named as an impressive destination with the presence of large, high-art shows and many famous brands. The advertising campaign “Art of Travel” in 2019 by Louis Vuitton brand to choose the Muong Hoa mountain train station is a clear demonstration. During this campaign, Louis Vuitton’s goal is to create a creative travel diary with a beautiful scene full of art.
