The most famous love market is Sapa love market– an attractive tourist destination for both domestic and foreign tourists when participating in Sapa tour. The market is held once a week on Saturday night. This is a market of the Dao. Most of the ethnic groups such as the Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay … residing in Sa Pa live in the Muong Hoa valley. This is where the Muong Hoa River originates from small streams from the top of Mount Phan Xi Pang. Cultivating agriculture is their daily activity.

Getting to the market by trail usually takes about 12 hours, so people usually go from the day before then spend the night in town on the Sunday market.
