The most famous love market is Sapa love market– an attractive tourist destination for both domestic and foreign tourists when participating in Sapa tour. This small town is located in a temperate sub-climate which is cool all year round. There are snowy winter years, so it is romantic and attractive to tourists. The market is held once a week on Saturday night. This is a market of the Dao. From the afternoon, down the street and in the church courtyard, many women have been seen wearing red scarf heads and splendid embroidered costumes with silver rings, silver buttons, and small coins attached to their shoulders.

Most of the ethnic groups such as the Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay … residing in Sa Pa live in the Muong Hoa valley. This is where the Muong Hoa River originates from small streams from the top of Mount Phan Xi Pang. Cultivating agriculture is their daily activity.

The path for people to travel used to be quite dangerous. Ethnic villages are often quite far from the center of Sapa town .
