Morning: Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to:

• Wat Phra That Doi Suthep – one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai and an important pilgrimage site for Thai Buddhists, especially during major religious festivals. It is often said that a visit to Chiang Mai is incomplete without paying respects at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
• Royal Park Rajapruek – a major horticultural attraction in Chiang Mai where visitors can admire thousands of species of plants and flowers. The park takes its name from the Ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower, also known as the golden shower tree. At the heart of the garden is the Royal Pavilion, built in the traditional Lanna architectural style. The pavilion covers approximately 3,000 square meters and was constructed using traditional techniques, including wooden bolts instead of conventional nails.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Attend the Yi Peng Sky Lantern Festival, one of Thailand’s largest festivals. (Festival admission ticket is not included in the tour price.)

Proposed festival schedule:

16:30–17:45: Enter the festival through the lantern gate and enjoy traditional Lanna activities, including:

• Traditional Kad Mua Market
• Sword dances and performances by highland ethnic groups
• Loy Krathong handicraft workshops and traditional Lanna calligraphy
• Lighting candles at the prayer tree
• Releasing floating lanterns in the Loy Krathong Zone

17:45–19:00: Proceed to the Food Zone according to your ticket category and enjoy a buffet at leisure.

19:00–20:00: Highlight Show – fireworks along the river, Lanna drum performances and other traditional shows.

20:40: Festival organizers provide instructions on how to release the sky lanterns.

21:30: Final fireworks display to bid farewell to visitors.

21:40: Meet the tour guide and return to the vehicle before heading back to the hotel in Chiang Mai.

Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin the journey from Chiang Mai.

• Visit Wat Lok Moli, an ancient temple located in central Chiang Mai. The temple is particularly notable for its distinctive three-tiered wooden main hall, intricate carvings and ancient moss-covered stupas surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. It also holds deep spiritual significance as the resting place of members of the Mengrai royal family and ten Buddhist monks who were invited from Myanmar to teach Buddhist philosophy.
• Visit well-known Jewelry and Gem Centers and Latex Centers in Chiang Mai for shopping and sightseeing.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

• Continue to the Long Neck Hill Tribe Village to learn about the traditional customs and lifestyle of the Karen ethnic community.
• On the way to Chiang Rai, stop at Mae Kachan Hot Springs for a short break and relaxation. You may enjoy the scenery, shop for souvenirs or experience activities such as soaking your feet in the hot springs and boiling eggs.

Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, enjoy dinner and check in at the hotel.

Free time to explore Chiang Rai at night.

Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for sightseeing.

• Visit the Golden Triangle – a mountainous region where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. The area was once associated with Khun Sa, a notorious drug lord, and was historically one of the world’s major centers of opium cultivation and production. Today, the Golden Triangle is one of the most fascinating tourist destinations in northern Thailand.
• Take a boat ride along the Mekong River and admire the scenic landscape, or enjoy views of the Mae Sai border area, an important trading gateway between Thailand and Myanmar.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking the Mekong River.

Continue sightseeing:

• Visit the White Temple – Wat Rong Khun. The temple stands out with its striking all-white design and unique architecture. Elegant and ethereal, Wat Rong Khun is unlike the centuries-old temples found elsewhere in Chiang Rai. Its white color symbolizes the purity of the Buddha’s wisdom, while its intricate decorative details create an extraordinary visual experience.
• Visit Choui Fong Tea Plantation, one of the major tea-growing areas in Chiang Rai. Enjoy free time to take photos among the tea fields, relax or enjoy coffee and freshly brewed tea.

Return to Chiang Mai.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Chiang Mai.

Morning: Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel and check out.

The vehicle will take the group to Central Festival Chiang Mai. Enjoy free time for shopping and have lunch at the food court before transferring to Chiang Mai International Airport.

Take flight FD870 at 13:20, arriving at Noi Bai International Airport at 14:50.

Upon arrival, our vehicle will pick up the group at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer you back to central Hanoi.

Say goodbye to the group and conclude the tour.
