Completed in 2011, Fo Guang Shan serves as a major gathering place for Buddhists. The towering statue stands out against the blue sky with a benevolent smile; it is currently the tallest bronze Buddha statue in the world. The core treasure housed within the Buddha Museum is a rare Buddha tooth relic. Taiwan Hinoki Village: Built with the aim of perfectly recreating traditional Japanese architecture and atmosphere, this destination is located in the East District of Chiayi City. It is Taiwan’s first forest-themed cultural and creative park. The name “Hinoki” is derived from the Hinoki cypress, a rare tree species prized for its fragrant wood and commonly found in Japan and Taiwan.
Tea shop: Enjoy Oolong tea, a local specialty.
The group proceeds to Taichung City.
Visit a workshop to hand-make delicious pineapple cakes—a local specialty—and enjoy a fun, engaging baking experience.
18:30: Dinner at a Shabu-Shabu hotpot buffet restaurant featuring a selection of over 150 dishes.

Afterwards, enjoy free time exploring Fengjia Night Market in Taichung. As the city’s largest, most popular, and most exciting night market, it operates seven days a week from late afternoon until midnight. The atmosphere is always bustling, offering delicious treats crafted by skilled vendors—including specialties like fermented stinky tofu and spicy duck heads.

Sun Moon Lake: Taiwan’s largest natural lake, surrounded by lush scenery and a favorite retreat of Chiang Kai-shek. Here, the group will board a boat for a cruise to admire the stunning views of the lake.
Lingzhi (Reishi Mushroom) Research Center: Learn about how the Thao indigenous people harvest Lingzhi mushrooms in the Alishan mountain range.

The group departs for Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
Yehliu Geopark: A fascinating destination where visitors can admire vivid natural rock formations, such as the Queen’s Head, Dragon’s Head, and rocks resembling candles and ice cream sundaes. These formations were created by wave erosion, pitting, and grooving over a long period. The park is divided into three sections, each featuring rock formations with distinct shapes.

After dinner, enjoy free time for an evening stroll to explore Ximenting, located in western Taipei; it is Taiwan’s most famous and bustling pedestrian shopping district.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall – Chiang Kai-shek served as the supreme commander of the war zones during the War of Resistance Against Japan. During World War II, alongside Allied leaders such as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, he was one of the key leaders opposing fascism. The memorial features a roof modeled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and a base resembling the Egyptian pyramids, creating a majestic and solemn appearance.
Taipei 101 – The tallest building and a landmark of Taipei City; enjoy shopping for world-renowned fashion and cosmetic brands. (Excluding the cost of ascending the tower)

Pixiu Feng Shui Center: Visit to learn about Chinese Feng Shui principles and admire exquisite craftsmanship featuring the *Pixiu*—a mythical creature revered as the premier Feng Shui symbol for attracting wealth and good fortune.

X-Park Aquarium: Taiwan’s largest modern aquarium, offering a unique underwater experience that blends technology with education. Explore a vibrant marine world through impressive, highly interactive exhibits featuring diverse fish species, brilliant coral reefs, and exciting shows—making it a captivating destination for visitors of all ages.
