Schedule
Your guide and driver will meet you in Saigon in the morning and transport you to the scenic Mekong River Delta, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind. Board your private sampan to explore Cai Be floating market, passing by various local house industries to learn about traditional rice paste production, rice popcorn, coco sweets, and the drying process of longans. Lunch is served at Le Longanier Restaurant, an Indochinese villa set in a lush garden by the river. Your sampan will continue on its journey to Vinh Long. You will be able to view typical Mekong delta rural life and visit bonsai gardens along the way. Many people are unaware of the existence of these evergreen islands in the Mekong River. Your driver will be waiting on the opposite side of the river to take you on a 45-minute ride to Can Tho, the largest city on the Mekong, a vibrant town with a vibrant waterfront and a colorful mix of small back alleyways and huge boulevards that allow for some exciting exploring. You have the rest of the day free.
