Wake up early and practice Tai Chi on the top deck, or simply relax and watch the dawn over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning before starting off on a rowing tour of surrounding islands. Return to the junk for breakfast, then relax on the sundeck and observe the bay’s spectacular rock formations as you make your way back to Halong City. Take a ferry to Cat Ba Island and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Option 1: A half-day trip in Cat Ba National Park. After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a lovely drive around the island to visit Hospital Cave. During the American War, a three-story structure inside the mountain was utilized to hide and recuperate. You will view stone beds, stalactites, and hear about numerous tales here. Leaving the cave, continue on to the National Park, which is now a UNESCO-protected site. Visiting an exhibition center to learn about Cat Ba’s vegetation and wildlife, as well as some old fossils discovered on the island. Walking through the jungle and climbing to the summit of Ngu Lam mountain (215m above sea level) for panoramic views of Halong Bay. After that, I spent an hour walking into Kim Gao. On the way back to your hotel, stop for lunch and then relax on the beach.
Option 2: A half-day biking tour in Vietnam. After breakfast at the hotel, go to Ben Beo Harbor and take a boat transport to Viet Hai Village, which is about 18 kilometers from Cat Ba Town. Viet Hai, a tiny fishing community, spans along the shore. By biking around the hamlet, you can view the everyday activities of the fisherman and farmers working in the rice fields. Make a few stops to talk with locals before riding back to the pier for a boat ride to the Cat Ba tourist dock. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

After breakfast, board a speed boat to Ben Binh in Hai Phong City, where your car will be ready to transport you back to your hotel in Hanoi. The tour has come to an end.
