You will be picked up from your accommodation in Hue and will spend the full day exploring Vietnam’s old historic capital. Begin the day by seeing the Imperial Citadel, which houses the Imperial City, and the Forbidden Purple City, which was previously the Emperor’s private palace. The Imperial City was built in the nineteenth century and was styled after Beijing’s Forbidden City. Within its boundaries, the Imperial Enclosure holds a number of palaces and shrines. In the afternoon, continue your journey by seeing the Imperial Museum and the Tu Hieu Pagoda.
Later, visit Tha Om Garden, an antique residence over 100 years old, built in the style of the Nguyen dynasty in the 19th century – where you will be able to experience the family’s kindness and hospitality, as well as a taste of Hue’s traditional cuisine.
Return to your accommodation and unwind.
