Discovering wildlife in Thung Nham

Thung Nham Bird Garden Eco-tourism Area (also known as Bird Valley) is situated in the central area of Trang An Landscape Complex, about 5km south of Tam Coc – Bich Dong Tourist Area and 12km west of Ninh Binh City. It belongs to Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.

Thung Nham is surrounded by unspoiled jungle greenery. A thin dew curtain looming in the pristine room of Thung Nham at dawn gives tourists the impression that they are in a fairyland. The steersman will lead tourists to fascinating places in Thung Nham by gently rowing on the calm water present.

The first destination is the Garden Bird Sanctuary, which is home to 46 bird species and about 50,000 people, including common storks, herons, silver teals, and white-rumped shamas. Thung Nham also has a greenhouse with a variety of traditional tropical fruits such as guava, apple, star fruit, raspberry, custard… and a primeval forest with a diverse ecosystem that is home to 109 flora and 150 fauna species.
