Bai Dinh Pagoda

Bai Dinh Pagoda is a large temple complex known for many Asian records. In Vietnam, the pagoda was established as the largest temple. It has the largest gold-plated bronze Buddha statue in Asia, and the longest Arhat corridor in Asia. This used to be the place to hold the Grand celebration of Buddha relics from India to Vietnam in 2010. It is located in the western lane of Hoa Lu ancient capital relic, on the side of national highway 38B, Gia Sinh commune – Gia Vien – Ninh Binh, 15 km from Ninh Binh city, 95 km from Hanoi.

Bai Dinh Pagoda

Bai Dinh Pagoda is the largest pagoda and holds the most records in Vietnam. The construction and expansion of the new temple complex was held by the delegates attending the 2008 World Buddha’s inauguration, phase 1. The Great Buddha’s Birthday celebration of the United Nations 2014 – Vesak 2014 hosted by Vietnam took place at the pagoda in March 2014.

The population of Bai Dinh pagoda currently has an area of ​​539 hectares including 27 hectares of ancient Bai Dinh pagoda, 80 hectares of new Bai Dinh pagoda. Areas such as cultural park and Buddhist institute, reception area and landscape park, traffic road and parking lot, Dam Thi lake area, release lake … are still under construction.
