Take a sightseeing tour of Vietnam’s lovely capital in the afternoon. Hanoi is an eclectic blend that provides something for everyone, with its broad tree-lined boulevards, French colonial buildings, calm lakes, and ancient oriental pagodas. The Temple of Literature, West Lake (containing Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple), and Hoa Loa Prison (previously known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War) are all included in your city trip.
The evening’s centerpiece is Water Puppet Performance, a one-of-a-kind Vietnamese art form originating in Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture.

As you sail out into the mysterious bay, have a sumptuous meal of fresh seafood onboard. In the afternoon, take a boat around some of Halong’s many islands. Visit one of the bay’s three major caverns along the route (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a secluded white sand beach and cool down in the Gulf of Tonkin’s warm waters (if the weather will be suitable). Sleep the night away on your trash, lulled to sleep by the gently rolling of calm seas.

Enjoy a half-day culinary session in Hoian today. Meet at the Hai Scout Cafe in the heart of Hoian’s Old Town. You will next proceed to Hoian’s vibrant market. Explore the market and talk to local merchants to get some fresh ingredients for today’s culinary session.
In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour through the historical town center’s tiny winding alleyways, stopping at Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral residence, and the famed Japanese Bridge.

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Danang Airport for your trip south to the coastal town of Nhatrang. Meet your tour guide and vehicle at Cam Ranh Airport, then go to the old Po Nagar Cham Tower, Long Son Pagoda, and Dam Market on your way to your accommodation. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach.

This morning, you’ll travel upwards to Dalat, with a break at rural Nhatrang on the way out to get a taste of what life in the Vietnamese countryside is like. After four hours on the journey, you will arrive at the alpine village of Dalat, also known as the “City of Eternal Spring.” An afternoon tour includes the art deco former summer palace of Bao Dai – Vietnam’s last Emperor – the ancient Dalat Railways Station, the Central Market, and the famed XQ embroidery studio. In the evening, there will be the opportunity to take a brief walk around the Lake to get a sense of this charming city.

After breakfast, depart Dalat for Elephant Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Visit a coffee plantation, vegetable fields, a cricket farm, a rice wine processing business, and a silkworm factory along the way. Stop in a hill tribal village of the K’Ho ethnic minority group to learn more about the vital Gong culture (The Space of Gong Culture in Vietnam’s Central Highlands), which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You may go about the village and learn about the local way of life.

Take a cooking class in the morning at the Vietnam Cookery Center. A professional chef will lead your hands-on cooking class.
The Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market will be visited in the afternoon. The remainder of the day is yours to do as you like.

You leave Saigon today to tour the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels are an underground maze of passages utilized by the Viet Cong as a defense against American airstrikes during the Vietnam War (or “American War” as it is referred to here). Crawl through sections of the tunnels to have a better understanding of what life was like for Vietnamese soldiers during the war.
The tour concludes at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, or your driver and guide will bring you to your hotel in Saigon if you choose to remain longer.
