Lao Cai

Lao Cai is a highland border province in the Northwest of Vietnam. 296 km from Hanoi. The East borders with Ha Giang province, the West borders with Son La and Lai Chau provinces, the South borders with Yen Bai province. The North borders with Yunnan province of China

With 25 ethnic groups living together, Lao Cai becomes a land rich in cultural identity, historical traditions and cultural heritages. In which, Vietnamese people accounted for the majority, appeared early and especially accounted for a high proportion in the 1960s because of the reclamation movement and cadres were transferred from Hai Phong city, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Ha Nam … up.
