Koh Phangan Island has more than 20 different beaches with their unique color and space. They are divided into four different areas on the island: North West, North East, Southwest and Haad Rin. 1. Koh Phangan Northwest Beaches

North West is well-known for its beautiful beaches, romantic sunsets, and top diving and swimming spots. There are numerous high-quality resorts and restaurants in this area. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind.

Haad Yao

Haad Yao (or Hat Yao) is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, if not the most beautiful beach in Thailand. It has a one-kilometer coast and is located northwest of Koh Phangan. This is an excellent location for beach activities, water sports, and small beach parties. There are numerous excellent resorts and cozy restaurants. The costs range from low to high.

Mae Haad and Salad Haad

Both two beaches Mae Had and Had Salad are so beautiful, located in the northwest of Koh Phangan. With the space to relax with much marine fish and white sand is many great things which you can explore when traveling here. You will also find many small shops and restaurants in the town.

Chalok Lum

Chalok Lum is located in the north of the island’s center, formerly known a small fishing village and now it is still a fishing center with a lot of fishing boats. Fishermen here often catch small squid (Thai called plamuk) and dried on the shelf next to the yard and wharf.

2. Koh Phangan Northeast Beaches

The northeastern part of Koh Phangan Island is surrounded by jungle and is known for its relaxing space and separated away from the hustle things. There are many beautiful bays which are separated with the most luxurious resorts and resorts on the island found here.

Had Khuat

The Chaloklum, with a short walking road, takes you to Had Khuat Paradise (English called Bottle Beach). If you want to avoid going through this short mangrove forest, you can take a small ship between the beaches. The beaches are very impressive but in its location, this is not the best choice for those who want to watch the sunrise and sunset at sea.

Thong Nai Pan Noi – Thong Nai Pan Yai

These are two very beautiful beaches located on the northeast side of the island. The road that takes you to this place of the ship looks like a dirt road, a little hard to move. Although the number of tourists has increased here, you will find very few seats or vendors serving visitors here.

From Haad Rin, you can come here by boat, going very slowly but safely.

3. Koh Phangan Southwest Beaches

Southwest is a good option for those looking to enjoy the nightlife in a quiet setting. This is the best place to start exploring the island, and there are many high-quality resorts to choose from.

Ao Ban Tai and Ao Ban Khai

Ao Ban Tai and Ao Ban Khai are two long beaches on Koh Phangan’s southwest coast. They have an unusual vision, especially at sunset. Both beaches are ideal for beach walks with views of Koh Samui.

These two beaches are also good places to stay if you’re going to the Full Moon Party and want to be in a quiet area (quieter than Had Rin). You can easily travel by motorcycle, scooter, or car (or take a taxi), and if you want to get some exercise, you can walk to Haad Rin for an hour or two. Haad Rin

Haad Rin is located on a small peninsula in the southeastern part of Koh Phangan and is the focal point of the famous Full Moon Party, as well as having an interesting nightlife. You can walk from Haad Rin to Leela Beach (Haad See Kantang), which is a peaceful location.

Haad Rin Nok and Haad Rin Nai

The most famous beach on Koh Phangan is Haad Rin and it consists of two beaches.

Had Rin Nok is located on the island’s southeastern side and is considered one of the best beaches on Phangan Island due to its wideness and white sand. It has grown in popularity over the years, with so many restaurants, bars, and resorts located right on the beach. Every month, around 10,000 people attend the famous Full Moon Party (and up to 30,000 people attend the New Year’s Eve party).

Haad Rin Nai is located on the southwestern side of the island and is called “The Sunset Beach”. You can take boat and ferry from Koh Samui, Koh Tao and the mainland to get here.

Haad Yuan

Haad Yuan (or: Hat Yuan) in the southeast of Koh Phangan, 3 km north of Haad Rin. This beach gives you a very quiet space especially for those who have spent a week in Haad Rin and want to find a more peaceful space.
