So, are you planning a vacation to The City of Lights of the World – Paris, and would want to stay in a hotel with a stunning view of the Arc de Triomphe? This article will provide the solution to your query. We recommend Hotel Splendid Etoile, one of the most magnificent hotels in Paris with a stunning view of the Arc de Triomphe.
The location of Splendid Etoile Hotel Paris
Address: 1 Avenue Carnot, 75017 Paris, France.
Everyone has certainly heard of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but did you know that there are up to 12 boulevards converging on the most renowned site in gorgeous Paris? In this region, there are several magnificent and elegant hotels with direct views of the Arc de Triomphe. However, the majority of them offer just a partial view or are covered by nearby trees or homes. Only Splendid Etoile provides you with the opportunity to admire the panoramic vista.
Splendid Etoile Hotel Paris is located near the corner point overlooking the Arc de Triomphe. The exact address is: 1 Avenue Carnot, 75017 Paris, France. There are several ways to get here when you traveling to Paris by different means:
- By Metro: You take the RER A train to Charles de Gaulle – Étoile station, then walk about 1 minute to the hotel.
- By taxi: If you go from CDG airport you can choose a taxi, or back from the hotel to go to the airport, the hotel will also call a taxi for you. I took Uber to the airport to avoid peak hours at very good price only EUR35.
What’s going on in the area around the hotel? Of course, there are many, as the hotel is located in the heart of the wonderful city of Paris. Only a few steps away from the Arc de Triomphe, or wandering down the wide Champs Elysee street, the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais are also close. The Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum are only approximately a 20-minute metro ride away from the hotel.
Oveview of Hotel Splendid Etoile Paris
Although the Splendid Etoile Hotel is quite opulent, it only has four international stars. Because of the stringent rules on design and landscape, it’s possible that they won’t be able to develop a huge hotel that meets the requirements of a 5-star hotel in this region. All structures in this area must adhere to the same external planned architecture. The hotels in Paris usually have a distinct appearance, and Splendid Etoile is one that you just must see when visiting this wonderful city.
The hotel is not overly big, with a 5-story trapezoidal design that adheres to the existing layout of the Arc de Triomphe’s core region. The upper side is gently beveled and faces the Arc de Triomphe’s central circle. As a result, the room category is separated into two types: back view and street view. The sort of street view is also split into two categories: direct view to the Arc de Triomphe and partial view; the more magnificent the view, the higher the price.
Practical experience at the Splendid Etoile Hotel Paris France
Check-in procedure
Simply put, we boarded the RER A train to Charles de Gaulle – Étoile station, exited and spotted the hotel just across the street. The hotel personnel who gets my personal information delivers the room key and gives the required information. Breakfast may be served at the restaurant or in my room, which they will prepare for me. If you did not reserve breakfast while making your reservation, you can do so at the hotel for $15 per person.
Check-in the room
Before the trip, I had only heard good things about the hotel and was captivated by the photos shot right from the Arc de Triomphe from this hotel. So I chose to stay here and reserve the greatest view room of the Arc de Triomphe, the Privilege Double Room With Direct View of the Arc de Triomphe.
In addition to the Privilege room class, you can select a lower room class with a partial view of the Arc de Triomphe, such as the Superior Double Room with Balcony. This accommodation is less expensive, but there is no panoramic view, and the balcony from where you take photos may get obscured if someone staying in the Privilege room is also shooting pictures at the same time.
My accommodation is on the fifth level, which affords me a panoramic view of the Arc de Triomphe. In actuality, the lower floor with the same Privilege room class offers the same view, but the higher floor gives you the impression that you are standing closer to the Arc de Triomphe.
The initial impression upon entering the chamber is, “Wow wow, wonderfully lovely,” as if one were entering the room of a prince in a European fairy tale. The atmosphere is a combination of fairy and contemporary. Because there are two huge doors that step out onto the balcony, light is continually flooding in. Windscreen with up to three layers of extremely soft material. This is a chamber with two entrances, one facing the Arc de Triomphe and the other towards the city.
Room amenities
The room isn’t particularly huge, but it’s decorated in a really beautiful and expensive style. The interior with a soothing white tone makes you feel very comfortable, and the highlight is the incredibly broad and soft King size bed. The room’s furnishings is likewise complete, with one set of desk and chair for working and one set for enjoying tea. There is a television and a little bar stocked with wine, chocolate, butter, and so forth. Everything is immaculate and brand new.
The lavatory room is also quite appealing, with a bathtub, sink, and shower gel set, as well as shampoo and soap from the premium Nuxe brand. The room’s amenities are comparable to those of a four-star international hotel.
This Privilege room has a unique characteristic in that you can see everything. The living area, which has two wide doors with a two-way perspective, as well as the bathroom and toilet, all have views of the majestic Arc de Triomphe.
Dream breakfast overlooking the Arc de Triomphe
What could be better than cooking breakfast in your room and sitting on the balcony with a view of the Arc de Triomphe? The rooms have two major sides, both of which have quite spacious balconies. Because only 1 or 2 rooms offer a complete view of the Arc de Triomphe, the face facing the Arc de Triomphe is extremely secluded. And the face with the view of the city, I saw quite a few people in the adjacent room snapping photographs, since standing in this balcony section, I could still see the Arc de Triomphe.
During the day in France, I generally have a croissant and a cup of coffee for breakfast. I adore French croissants and could eat them every morning. A little tart, a glass of orange juice, and a little butter, together with fresh fruit, might occasionally provide enough energy for a new day.
It should be noted that the view from here includes not only a panorama of the Arc de Triomphe, but also a portion of the Eiffel Tower and a 12-way junction converging in one direction. Living here is like living on the streets of Paris; vehicles run all day, and both dawn and night are stunning.
Please admire these pictures from this dream balcony:
You may also enjoy breakfast at The Pré Carré restaurant, which serves a buffet and classic French fare. If you want to unwind a little, head to the English-style pub with a lovely marble coffee table; the cuisine is also quite good here.
It was like a dream come true to stay at this wonderful hotel. I can now stand here, on the balcony, and feel every beat of Paris below after many times glancing at the captivating images on Instagram. Is it only Maldives resorts that make my heart race? Even city hotels can elicit strong feelings… Best wishes on your journey!
