In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and complete check-out procedures.

The group will be transferred to Kunming Railway Station to board the high-speed train to Shangri-La (Train C118: 09:08 – 14:24; lunch served on board). Upon arrival in Shangri-La, the group will visit:

Songzanlin Monastery: Known as the “Little Potala of Yunnan” and situated at an altitude of approximately 3,200 meters, this is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. Featuring brilliant golden roofs set against a backdrop of majestic mountains, the monastery embodies rich Tibetan culture and has remained remarkably well-preserved since its construction in 1679 under the 5th Dalai Lama.

Dukezong Ancient Town (Moonlight Ancient City): A historic Tibetan settlement dating back over 1,300 years and one of the best-preserved ancient Tibetan towns in China. Here, visitors can admire hundreds of carefully maintained traditional Tibetan-style houses and experience the hospitality of the local Tibetan people, who share insights into their unique culture and daily lives.

In the evening, enjoy the Zhala Chieftain’s Banquet, accompanied by song and dance performances.

Afterward, the group will be transferred to the hotel to check in and rest.

Overnight stay in Shangri-La town.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. The group travels along the G214 highway (Yunnan-Sichuan corridor) towards Daocheng, Sichuan, embarking on a journey along the route dubbed “Yunnan’s most beautiful road.”

You will traverse the Hongshan area within the “Three Parallel Rivers” region—a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site recognized in 2003. It is the only heritage site in China to fully meet all four of UNESCO’s natural criteria. This area features a rare geographical phenomenon where the Jinsha, Lancang, and Nu Rivers flow parallel to each other from north to south for over 170km without converging, creating a magnificent and unique geological landscape.

Lunch: Lunch is served en route. Afterward, the journey continues to Shangrila Town (Daocheng, Sichuan).

Afternoon: Check-in at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Yading Valley Visitor Center. Here, the group will receive an overview of the nature reserve and detailed information regarding the trekking itinerary for the following day.

Evening: Dinner (featuring Sichuan or local Tibetan cuisine).

Guests are encouraged to rest early to conserve energy for tomorrow’s sightseeing in Yading.

Overnight stay in Shangrila Town.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Yading Nature Reserve—situated at an altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level, this place is often described as the “Last Shangri-La on Earth.”

From the entrance, a scenic area shuttle bus will take you to the Zhaguangbeng Station (approximately 40km away); from there, you will walk 500 meters to the Chonggu Monastery electric cart station.

Chonggu Monastery—meaning “Monastery on the Lake” in Tibetan—is a unique attraction located at an altitude of 3,880 meters. Here, you can admire the monastery’s distinctive architecture and soak in its sacred, peaceful atmosphere. The meadow in front of the monastery offers stunning views, providing a perfect vantage point to admire the majestic peaks of Mount Xiannairi (Chenrezig) and Mount Xianuoduoji (Dorje Phagmo).

Luorong Yak Meadow (altitude 4,180m) is famous for the sight of hundreds of yaks grazing leisurely by streams amidst the magnificent backdrop of snow-capped mountains; it is considered one of the best panoramic viewing spots in Yading. On the way up, you will have the opportunity to view two sacred mountains from a distance: Xianuoduoji (5,958m)—symbolizing Vajrapani Bodhisattva—and Yangmaiyong (5,958m)—symbolizing Manjushri Bodhisattva.

From Luorong Yak Meadow, you can choose a sightseeing route that best suits your physical stamina. Trek to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake – a one-way distance of approximately 5 km; the round trip takes about 4–5 hours, involving a mix of flat terrain and light hiking.

Alternatively, travel by horse (at your own expense, approx. 300 RMB) – the round trip takes about 2.5 hours.

Lunch: Enjoy a set meal within the scenic area, then continue sightseeing:

From Luorong Pasture, travel toward Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake. At the transfer point, the path splits into two directions:

Milk Lake (altitude 4,600m): Shaped like a teardrop, the lake features a deep blue center surrounded by snow-capped peaks, resembling a patch of pure turquoise nestled amidst the snowy summits.

Return from Milk Lake to the transfer point, then climb the stairs for about 15 minutes (covering 300m) to reach Five-Color Lake.

Five-Color Lake (altitude 4,700m) is the highest lake in Yading. The water is crystal clear, revealing a lakebed patterned with intricate, ink-like lines and dense, pale blue hues. Under the sunlight, the surface reflects five distinct colors, creating a landscape that resembles an oil painting.

Return to Luorong Pasture and take the electric shuttle to Chonggu Temple, passing the stunning Holy Water Lake along the way. Continue by shuttle and walk approximately 500m to the scenic area bus station to return to the main entrance.

Evening: Transfer to dinner, followed by a return to the hotel to rest.

Overnight stay in Shangri-La town.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Continue into the Yading Scenic Area to visit:

Pearl Lake (altitude 4,080m): The water is a clear, jade-like blue, allowing one to see the lakebed clearly. Formed by melting snow from Mount Xiannairi (Chenrezig), the lake’s surface reflects a vibrant, colorful world. It is recognized as the best spot to photograph the reflection of Mount Xiannairi (6,023m).

Lunch: Leave the scenic area for lunch, then continue the journey to Deqin.

The route traverses vast highland roads, leading to Deqin—a sacred land where snow-capped mountains, the sky, and the traces of time tell a shared story.

Arrive at the Feilai Temple (Feilai Si) viewing point. The group stops to visit:

Meili Snow Mountain: Situated between the Nu (Salween) and Lancang (Mekong) Rivers within the Hengduan Mountain Range, it is famous for the “Thirteen Prince Peaks” (Taizi Shisan Feng)—a cluster of 13 peaks averaging over 6,000m in height. Among them, Kawagarbo (6,740m) is revered as a sacred peak and stands as the highest mountain in Yunnan Province.

Feilai Temple: An ideal vantage point to admire the majestic “Golden Mountain” (sunlight illuminating the peaks) of Meili Snow Mountain at sunset or to witness the brilliant sunrise the following morning.

Evening: Dinner (featuring Tibetan dried beef and butter tea).

Morning: The group rises early to witness the day’s most beautiful moment: the majestic Meili Snow Mountain illuminated by the dawn—a spectacular natural phenomenon known as “Golden Mountain at Sunrise” (*Rizhao Jinshan*). In Shangri-La culture, this is an iconic sight and a “golden moment” that every visitor to Deqin and Feilai Temple hopes to witness firsthand at least once.

Afterward, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart for the return journey to Shangrila.

En route, the group passes the Jinsha River Bend viewpoint (stop for photos).

Lunch: Enjoy lunch in Benzilan Town.

Upon arrival in Shangrila, visit Pudacuo National Park (also known as Potatso), the “green heart” of Shangri-La, Yunnan. Renowned for its pristine, majestic landscapes and diverse ecosystem, the park offers a serene experience that brings visitors close to nature.

Evening: Dinner (featuring Nixi clay pot chicken hotpot).

Afterward, check into the hotel and rest. Free time to explore the Shangrila night market.

Overnight stay in Shangrila.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out.

The group travels to Shangri-La Railway Station and completes procedures for the high-speed train to Kunming (C640: 10:05 – 16:00); lunch is served on board.

Evening: Transfer to dinner.

Afterwards, check into the hotel and rest. Free time to explore the Kunming night market.

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Depart for sightseeing:

Dong Jin Dian (Golden Temple) – A famous Buddhist architectural site and historical landmark located on Mingfeng Mountain, approximately 7–8 km northeast of central Kunming, China. It is the largest bronze temple in China, constructed using over 200 tons of bronze; built in 1602 (during the Ming Dynasty), it is renowned for its brilliant and exquisite beauty.

Lunch: The group has lunch, then transfers to the airport for the return flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
