Con Noi- Kim Son- Potential sea tourism
Visitors to Kim Son alluvial land appreciate not only the unique church complex – Phat Diem stone church with a unique mix of Eastern temple architecture and Gothic architecture – but also the charming natural scenery bestowed upon this land.
Kim Son has nearly 18 kilometers of coastline, resulting in a large, diverse ecological edge covering more than 105 thousand hectares. It is home to approximately 500 species of aquatic plants and animals, more than 50 species of mangroves on alluvial plains, 200 species of birds, many of which are listed as critically endangered in the world red book, as well as untouched mangrove forests, salt marshes, mudflats, estuaries… This habitat, biodiversity has made Kim Son’s coastal region an important feature, and it is a buffer zone and transition zone of the inter-coastal wetland world biosphere reserve in the Red River delta, which is recognized by UNESCO. It is comfortable and appropriate for science exploration as well as ecotourism tourism.
Con Noi is only 8 kilometers from the mainland and covers nearly 1,000 hectares. Con Noi emerged up to the eye in the middle of the massive water waves. Broad beaches, shallow comfort, clean yellow sand, wave after wave, ocean, blue water, climate, and fresh air are all features of dunes. Dunes are lovely and romantic to the core. Con Noi Beach is already in good condition, and it will become a popular tourist destination in the future.
Implementing the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh Province’s Plan No. 83 / KH-UBND dated August 14, 2017 on the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 08-NQ / TW of January 16, 2017 and Conclusion No. 03-KL / TU dated June 26, 2017 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development to become a key economic sector, implementing the master plan for tourism. In particular, in preparation for the events of the National Tourism Year 2020 in Ninh Binh, the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province organized surveys to determine the reality of the current situation in the mudflats, Con Noi, to report to the provincial People’s Committee soon to bring Con Floating into exploitation for tourism purposes.
According to the province’s decree, Xuan Truong development enterprise, as an investor, is constructing a marine eco-tourism area in Con Noi, mixing entertainment and convalescence. As a result, the Kim Son mudflat and Con Noi coastal areas will be developed into a national and international marine eco-tourism region with fundamental characteristics of history, culture, spirituality, and tourism. Until now (October 2019), a sea bridge has been constructed connecting the endpoint of National Road 12B situated on the dyke of Binh Minh III and Con Noi to be invested by the Ninh Binh Border guard command. This will be a watershed moment in the maritime economic growth of Kim Son city, and of Ninh Binh province as a whole.
