This morning, you depart Hanoi for a three-hour trip on National Highway 1A to Lang Son City. When you get to this border city, you will go to the local market. Continue over stunning mountain roads to Cao Bang, with breathtaking vistas of green valleys, small hamlets, and distant mountains. When you arrive at Cao Bang, a little hamlet on the Chinese border, you may take a short walk to observe the colorful mountain tribes who live in this area.
