After breakfast, you will go to Trung Khanh, a region near Vietnam’s northern border with China. The Nung people will be presented to you at the village of Phuoc Sen, a tiny community noted for the manufacture of farming equipment. The Nungs, like the Tays, make their living mostly via farming the terraced rice terraces that you will see all around you as you go to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the stunningly gorgeous falls that mark the boundary between Vietnam and China. There will be time to appreciate the vista and absorb the sublime ambiance of Vietnam’s most magnificent waterfall before proceeding to the Nguom Ngao “Tiger Cave,” which is famed for its spectacular limestone formations.

You may relax on board, go animal viewing, or jump into the cold, clear waters for a relaxing dip if you need to cool down! While floating on Ba Be Lake, you may take in the view of the surrounding karsts, which are adorned with areas of natural flora and are home to a variety of unique species. The boat cruises down the Nang River, with time to visit the gorgeous Ba Be Lake, the caverns of Puong Grotto where you may explore the stalactites and stalagmites formed by the river’s erosion on the karst, and keep an eye out for the thousands-strong bat colony.

You will embark on the approximately 150-mile trip back to Hanoi (230 kilometers). Before returning to your accommodation in the bustling metropolis of Hanoi, we will make a stop at some hills tea factory.
