Potala Palace: Situated atop Red Hill (Hongshan), this magnificent architectural marvel harmoniously blends Tibetan and Chinese styles. Built in the 7th century, it serves not only as a historical landmark but also as a sacred site for Esoteric Buddhism, attracting thousands of pilgrims annually. Inside the palace, the shrines, murals, and splendid architecture reflect the deep devotion of Tibetan Buddhism. The Potala Palace not only preserves the essence of Tibetan culture but also serves as a bridge between the past and the present, the earthly and the spiritual, offering serenity and spiritual strength to every visitor. The palace complex is divided into two main sections: the White Palace and the Red Palace.
The White Palace—characterized by stone walls plastered with white clay—is regarded by the Tibetan people as a symbol of peace and served as the living quarters for incumbent Lamas. This distinctive red-and-white architectural style is replicated in other palaces throughout Tibet.
The Red Palace is a religious complex comprising various Buddhist halls—including those housing the stupas containing the remains of past Dalai Lamas—and other ceremonial chambers. Admission tickets to the Potala Palace must be purchased in advance for a specific, scheduled time slot; visitor flow is strictly managed based on ticket numbers and times to prevent overcrowding.

Jokhang Temple: This is the most important temple in Tibetan Buddhism and is considered the spiritual heart of the region. Built in the 7th century during the reign of King Songtsen Gampo, the temple holds immense historical value and stands as an architectural masterpiece, blending Tibetan, Han Chinese, Nepalese, and Indian styles. Jokhang Temple also houses the Jowo Shakyamuni statue (depicting the Buddha at age twelve)—the most sacred image for the Tibetan people—which attracts millions of pilgrims annually. Jokhang Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sacred pilgrimage destination for Buddhists visiting Tibet; it stands as an enduring symbol of the golden age of Tibetan architecture.
Evening: The group enjoys a hot, nutritious lamb hotpot dinner.
The vehicle transfers guests back to the hotel to rest.
Afterwards, guests are free to explore the city at night or attend the “Princess Wencheng” show—a spectacular live-action performance set against Tibet’s magnificent natural landscape that reenacts the historic story of the marriage between Princess Wencheng and Songtsen Gampo, dating back over 1,300 years. Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. The group travels to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, situated at an altitude of 3,800m. It serves as a regional cultural, religious, and political hub, notable for the Tashilhunpo Monastery—the seat of the Panchen Lama. The city is also a key gateway to Mount Everest from the Tibetan side, attracting visitors with its majestic scenery, ancient monasteries, and distinctive Tibetan culture.
En route sightseeing:
Yamdrok Lake: Located at an altitude of 4,441m, this lake resembles a turquoise gem amidst majestic mountains, distinguished by water colors that shift with the changing light. It is a sacred lake in Tibetan culture and the site of numerous spiritual rituals. The lake boasts a rich yet fragile ecosystem, home to various rare fish and bird species.
Karola Glacier: Situated at approximately 5,560m above sea level, it creates a magnificent landscape with layers of pristine white ice blanketing the mountain ranges. Karola is renowned for its proximity to the highway connecting Lhasa and Shigatse, allowing travelers to easily admire its beauty without the need for strenuous trekking.
Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant.
Dinner: Upon arrival in Shigatse, the group has dinner at a local restaurant.
Transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.

Tashilhunpo Monastery: Meaning “All-auspicious Happiness,” this is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug school, located in Shigatse. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it serves as the seat of the Panchen Lamas and is a major center of Buddhism. With over 6,000 rooms, the monastery boasts magnificent architecture, distinguished by walls that glow brilliantly red in the sunlight. Hundreds of devotees arrive daily for pilgrimages, creating a solemn spiritual atmosphere. Return to Lhasa.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, the journey continues.
Evening: Upon returning to Lhasa, the group has dinner at a local restaurant.
Transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.
In the evening, the group has the option to attend the “Princess Wencheng” show, enjoy Lhasa’s Tibetan sweet tea, and view the Potala Palace at night (at personal expense: 580 RMB/person).

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, the group will visit:
• Barkhor Street: In Tibetan, “Barkhor” means “central pilgrimage circuit.” This is a renowned pilgrimage route and the commercial hub of Lhasa, preserving its ancient appearance and the traditional lifestyle of the local people remarkably well. Originally, Barkhor was simply a pilgrimage path circling the Jokhang Temple, known to Tibetans as the “Holy Road.” Today, the street forms a polygonal loop comprising East, West, South, and North Barkhor sections, interwoven with 35 small alleys. Along the route, Buddhist devotees slowly turn their prayer wheels in rhythm with the passing time, while visitors soak in the sacred atmosphere and profound sense of peace. Visit a popular “viral” café (choose one of three options: Xidu Tibetan Café, Youjianshan Café, or a Tibetan costume experience).
Lunch: Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue the sightseeing tour:
Sera Monastery: Also known as the “Sera Mahayana Monastery,” it is one of the six principal monasteries of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Along with Drepung and Ganden monasteries, Sera is one of Lhasa’s three largest monasteries and ranks second in size within the Tibetan region. The complex is centered around the Great Assembly Hall (Tsochin Hall) and surrounded by numerous smaller monastic buildings. The Tsochin Hall and the Mahakala Hall (Hayagriva Hall) are the two most notable sites to visit. Beyond its magnificent architecture, the monastery houses a vast collection of precious scriptures, thangkas, embroideries, and murals. Notably, the statue of Hayagriva (Mahakala) is a significant pilgrimage site for many devotees.
Evening: Welcome dinner.
Transfer back to the hotel to rest.

Transfer to the airport to board the flight back to Hanoi.
