Kid Mai Death Cafe — Experience the feeling of death at this Bangkok coffee shop
A popular restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is decorated with coffins; human bone… which draws the attention of many visitors. It’s called Kid Mai Death Cafe (Kid Mai Death Cafe Bangkok, Kid Mai Death Awareness Cafe). According to Odd, the café was inspired by death and is the brainchild of professor and social scientist Veeranut Rojanaprapa.
Kid Mai Death coffee shop is located next to a bank and BTS station on Aree Soi 1 Road, in Bangkok, Thailand. This serves biscuits and beverages in exchange for a “death awareness” experience to change your current life.
When customers enter the restaurant, they will be stunned by the sense of horrific death that surrounds them. The primary hue is black, and the setting is gloomy and frightening. Coffins, wreaths, and dry bones are all used as décor in the death café. However, many people have said that this is one of the trendiest coffee places (Cool coffee shop).
The menu is divided into four sections: “birth, age, sickness, and death.” This death coffee was created to make people aware of the taste of death. People come here to envision what they would die after, and those terrifying experiences motivate them to cherish the precious moments of life. They will never know when they will die, therefore they must live each day fully and purposefully.
“I didn’t feel comfortable in the coffin,” one attendee remarked. I feel as if I’m dead since I can’t see my parents, relatives, or friends. I have not accomplished what I desired. “I’m terrified.”
There are a lot of slogans and questions inside this death coffee shop, such as “Are you ready to sleep and not wake up yet?” and “You can’t carry anything at all.” If you get the need to write anything, grab a pen and scribble your “python” words on the table.
The shop is open for beverages from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, while the test area for deceased persons is open from 12 p.m. until midnight. Visitors at Kid Mai Death may crawl inside the casket and lie inside for around 3 minutes before shutting the lid again. Those who use coupons will receive a 20baht (1 dollar) discount on their payment at the business.
