Hoi An Bridge Pagoda – the soul of Hoi An town.

Built in the 17th century, the Japanese Covered Bridge is a symbol of Hoi An. This wooden bridge is not only a unique architectural work but also contains many historical and cultural values.

The Japanese Covered Bridge is about 18m long, built by Japanese merchants with the original purpose of being a trade bridge between the Japanese quarter and the Chinese quarter. This work is a harmonious combination of Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese architecture.

Visitors can visit both the inside and outside of the bridge, admire the sophisticated carvings and learn about the history of this work.

Standing for more than 200 years, Tan Ky ancient house still retains its ancient Hoi An architectural style with the house divided into many rooms. The owner of Tan Ky house built the house in the 18th century as a place of business, the front facing Nguyen Thai Hoc street, the back facing the riverbank for the convenience of importing goods.

The main materials used to build Tan Ky ancient house are wood and stone tiles from Thanh Hoa. Thanks to that type of stone, the wood has not rotted after so many years of storms. As a house with a mixed style of 3 countries: Vietnam, China and Japan, Tan Ky is like a vivid picture depicting the life of the upper class in Hoi An in the past.
