1. Ham Ninh Fishing Village

Ham Ninh Fishing Village is one of the oldest fishing villages in Vietnam. This village is famous for wonderful beaches and delicious culinary. Though Phu Quoc tourism is developing rapidly, the village remains its rustic and untouched beauty. From the center of Duong Dong Town, less than 20km to the northeast, you will come to Ham Ninh Commune which is famous for Ham Ninh Fishing Village, Bai Vong Port, and beautiful and peaceful beaches. In the past, fishermen came here and founded this fishing village. Ham Ninh is a quiet and safe berth for boats when fishing in Duong Dong sea area. Boats from the mainland often dock here to transport goods and deliver seafood. Ham Ninh sea area is still shallow. When low tides, they make vast sandy beaches running to the headlines, while high tides, floods come to the edge of the forest. No one knows this village existed for how long, just know that, when the island was deserted, some residents from other places came here to exploit seafood, and set up the village. Coming to Ham Ninh Fishing Village, you can see the wild life with thatched bamboo leaves houses. Under Minh Mang Dynasty, Ham Ninh is a hamlet of Phu Quoc in Ha Chau District (An Bien, Ha Tien). Experiencing periods of Thieu Tri and Tu Duc, at the beginning of French colonial period, Ham Ninh belonged to Kien Giang, followed by Rach Gia, and Ha Tien. From May 25, 1874, Ham Ninh belonged to Phu Quoc District. From June 16, 1875, Ham Ninh belonged to Ha Tien District. From January 1, 1875, Ham Ninh was a village belonging to Ha Tien District. From August 20, 1888, the village belonged to Chau Doc. From June 16, 1875, Ham Ninh belonged to Ha Tien District.

2. An Thoi archipelago

An Thoi archipelago is located approximately 30 minutes from An Thoi town including 15 small islands and islets floating on the sea surface of Thailand Gulf. There are many beautiful beaches on the islands that are very suitable for sea lovers. From the mainland of Rach Gia, you can catch a boat in the ferry port to visit An Thoi islands.
