Lang Co beach
Lang Co beach is located right next to National Highway 1A, 70km south of Hue. For a long time, it has been famous for its most beautiful natural conditions and landscapes in Vietnam. With white sand more than 10km long, clear blue sea water, Lang Co Bay meets all the conditions to develop many types of tourism such as sea resort, scuba diving, lagoon eco-tourism, sports mountain climbing, golf course, tropical forest exploration …
Previously, Lang Co beach was called An Cu. The French came to choose a resort and wrote An Cu as “L ‘Anco” – deviating from Lang Co citadel. The King Khai Dinh, during his first year tour of the throne (summer 1916), while walking along the mountains south of the capital, exclaimed “What a paradise! Currently, An Cu Dong village has a stone stele engraved with an text of King Khai Dinh praising the scenery of Lang Co.
Residents of this coastal area and lagoon mainly live by fishing, aquaculture and tourism services. With the lagoon characteristic between brackish water and salt water, it is easy to raise aquatic species like lobster, tiger shrimp, silver shrimp, crayfish, crab, mackerel, plaice, blood cockle, oysters, etc. Tourists often come here to enjoy all kinds of fish sauce like sour shrimp paste, blood clam sauce with boiled pork.
