Kakul Villa Ubud Review — A budget hotel & quiet place to stay in Ubud, Bali

Kakul Villa Ubud was one of the accommodations I reserved while in Bali. This is a property in the Ubud region, however it is located far away from the town center and is quite peaceful. Because Kakul Villa Ubud is a villa, you may travel with your loved ones, such as a partner, family, or a group of friends, and buy food to cook. But, if you’re traveling alone, like me, it’s OK to appreciate the peace and quiet. Here are some of my reviews to help you pick a decent location to stay during your vacation to Bali. So, are you planning a vacation to Bali’s beautiful island and looking for a place to stay? Let’s have a look at our Kakul Villa Ubud Review, a peaceful location to stay in Ubud.

It features a blue swimming pool in the central

Review Kakul Villa Ubud Bali

The rooms

Each room is named after a flower, the room space will be decorated by that flower.

Lotus room

My room is Lotus. That is why the room is also decorated with a very beautiful lotus mural. Interestingly, my name is Liên, which also means lotus in Vietnamese, haha.

And here is the interior at check-in. Indeed, in real life, Kakul Villa Ubud is more beautiful and spacious than what I imagined. The layout is quite artistic and aesthetic. The room also has a redundant part such as a balcony, after wake up in early in the morning you can pull the door to reach this spot, practice yoga or lie on a sun lounger. Love it!

My photography skills are a bit poor, looking the room in reality, I feel it more beautiful.

This is a nice room but I go alone, it’s a pity :))). But just while you are single, just enjoy, “right now”, don’t think “past or future”, LOL.

And here is the hallway, very cozy with red lights!

The restroom

The restroom is very clean, delicate in every detail.

Like many times before, wherever I’ve ever stayed, I will look at the WC first. Clean WC proves the “host” is also very careful. And indeed, Kakul Villa Ubud is very meticulous in every detail. From the sink, mirror, lights… all are designed in classic style.

Cozy restroom

Below is the restroom in the reception area, opposite the swimming pool. Also very pretty and lovely.

The pool area was very cool.

Cool swimming pool

Kakul Villa Ubud has a beautiful swimming pool for sunbathing, lying on sun loungers for reading, swimming or enjoying a floating breakfast.

Spending an entire summer here is also okay for me :))!

The panoramic view is very nice. This place really is a place to spend the time for yourself. A year of hard work, at the end of the year you are allowed to give yourself a little rest, put your laptop away and work aside, just you and only you.

Facing the pool are rooms with pool views like this. When you wake up in the morning and open the door, you can lie down on these lazy chairs for sunbathing, reading book, and watch the water ripples … At night, it’s wonderful, the electric light is shimmering, the blue of the swimming pool surface reflects the surrounding landscape, looking from the inside or from the outside, you also feel like get lost in fairytale land. (Or because Lien’s soul is so romantic, haha).

Breakfast

A corner in the breakfast area.

The dining area (Villa’s restaurant) is located on the ground floor, opposite the swimming pool and near the front desk. Furniture made by hand (bamboo and rattan) looks quite luxurious and warm. Food includes both Western and Balinese cuisine. Breakfast is not included when the room rate. So, if you want to have breakfast, you need to book in advance, or when you check-in, you should inform the receptionist to reserve a breakfast.

I recommend that you reserve meals in advance because this place is quite far from Ubud market. In addition, when you stay in this beautiful and quiet place, you do not want to leave but just want to stay as long as possible. There is also the Floating Breakfast – a floating breakfast on the pool. So you can book and inform the receptionist the night before for them to prepare.

Note that you should go with friends to have someone to take pictures for you, the staff here are busy and they only know how to take normal pictures, but to take photos for virtual living is a bit difficult with their photography skills.

That morning I chose this dish. It’s fine to eat. In general, going to Bali, I also expected that there will not be many delicious foods like Thailand, Taiwan, Japan … Because the breakfast space is close to the pool like this, so I’m freely to enjoy.
