Ho Coc Beach

Ho Coc Beach, located north of Ho Tram Hamlet, is home to mostly mid-range and high-end resorts and one of Vietnam’s most pristine beaches. The beach is a three-hour leisurely drive from central Ho Chi Minh City and has five kilometers of white sand where you can spend the day sunbathing, fishing, and playing beach sports, as well as sampling new seafood and local Vietnamese cuisine.

Ho Coc Beach has beachfront resorts and hotels to fit almost every budget and choice. If you stay at one of the beach’s high-end resorts, you will almost certainly be able to relax on a private beach. Sundecks are available for hire for people who are not staying at the clubs, and certain areas of the beach are also open to the public.

What to See and Do in Ho Coc Beach

It is important to remember that depending on the season, the waters at Ho Coc Beach can be too rough or erratic to swim in, so if you are visiting with slow swimmers, consider visiting Binh Chau Hot Springs instead, which is situated 18 kilometers north of the beach. The complex, which was discovered in 1938, also includes a resort, playground, amusement park, and tennis courts. Water temperatures range from 37°C to 82°C, and its high mineral content is believed to promote fitness, blood circulation, and muscle relaxation. For an extra VND 400,000, visitors can enjoy mud baths.

Binh Chau Hot Springs is situated in a nearby town of the same name, where visitors can sample a number of local dishes at Binh Chau Market. Banh mi, chicken rice, pho, and bun thit nuong (noodles topped with grilled pork) are all common Vietnamese dishes that cost around VND 20,000 per dish.

There are several ways to get to Ho Coc Beach from Ho Chi Minh City, with local buses being the most affordable. Minibusses leave Mien Dong Bus Station every 15 minutes, with fares starting at VND 80,000. The trip takes about two hours, and you can get off at either Vung Tau or Ba Ria to catch a taxi or xe om (motorcycle taxi) to Ho Coc Beach.
