Furthermore, few people know that the “Mao bookstore”  was displayed by Mr. Luy and Ms. Mao on the sidewalk of the Post Office (Dinh Tien Hoang – Dinh Le crossroad) at the year 90. From the beginning, this bookstore is just a small book table but now it becomes one of the largest bookstores in Hanoi.

After 3 years selling books on the sidewalk, they found a selling room upstairs 2, No. 5 Dinh Le. With their passion and research, they manually printed many exclusive book publications. The most famous of them is the book ” ALMANACH – World Civilizations ” which is also a turning point to help Mr. Luy – Ms. Mao expand his bookstore space.

Since then, people also began to bring books to the Dinh Le, turning this place into the busiest “night book city” in Hanoi. But it was not until the years 2000 – 2001 when the city opened a campaign to clear this “night book street”, the business people started looking to rent shops and Dinh Le Book Street was born.

Set foot in the bookstore, you will feel like you are lost in the fairyland with many different stories and colors. Each corner here is very “photogenic”, just standing in it you also have sparkling photo shoots.

Not only a bookstore, but on that small attic there is also a book cafe with a small space to serve customers who come to buy books, read books or simply sip a cup of coffee to enjoy the peaceful space.

Although many large bookstores are sprouting up all over the streets today, this old bookstore is still attractive. Being simple and peaceful, this strange bookstore gradually becomes an indispensable part of book lovers.
