Asia’s most beautiful island named world’s top bucket list destination
Indonesia’s resort island Bali, recognized as the most beautiful in Asia, has been voted as world’s top bucket list trip this year in a new report conducted by South Africa-based travel planner Go2Africa.
With more than 2.28 million Google searches related to bucket lists, Bali holds universal appeal, drawing honeymooners, adventure seekers, culture enthusiasts, families and more, the report said.
To compile the list Go2Africa analyzed global Google search trends. Using tools like AHREFs, it looked at the highest search volumes for terms related to “bucket lists” over the past year. They then used this data to create a definitive ranking of the world’s most sought-after bucket list trips.
Other bucket-list trips were Santorini in Greece, Machu Picchu in Peru, Taj Mahal in India, Eiffel Tower in Paris, Grand Canyon in the U.S. and Mount Everest in Nepal.
Bali is known for its natural landscapes, picturesque beaches, traditional culture, rich history, and ancient temples, making it a favorite among travelers worldwide.
The island welcomed 6.3 million foreign tourists last year, surpassing pre-Covid levels.
Bali also received numerous accolades from international media last year.
In October, Bali was recognized as the most beautiful island in Asia by readers of the American magazine Condé Nast Traveler in its Readers’ Choice Awards.
